I like doing crossword puzzles and sudoku. I don’t bother with sudoku a lot these days and whenever I get a three day NYT subscription through my library, I go do the puzzles on their app.
But I recently discovered that the LATimes has a free full sized crossword section to which they post daily. Creating an account also gets me access to historical data about my own attempts. So I’m doing that these days as a way to decompress. A lot of US-specific things are out of my knowledge, like the names of artists and performers. But that’s ok. Sometimes I get the name through context and other times I just use the Reveal Word option to get the answer. Still keeps the progress fun, since it’s a hurdle I wouldn’t have gotten away with easily.
