I love islands. The community is so tight-knit, the village life is charming and a stone‘s throw away from the bustle of the city, the struggle for survival on a tourism-centric island is palpable during the off-season months, it’s fun to meet new people and find out their names and histories.

No wonder that we’ve come to vacation on an island even though we live on… an island!

I’ve also come to realize that even though I love coffee, I think I can survive without it. Growing up, I was never particularly into tea or coffee. Only in my college time I got into coffee and that too socially. These says it feels like a necessity in Seattle’s gloomy months.

But is it, really? I don’t think so. Let’s see if I’m willing to bet on it one of these days.
